Guest satisfaction is as important as any judges’ opinion, it is after all, the nature of hospitality. Participants are encouraged to get their guests to vote for them to receive constructive feedback if not to help increase their chances of winning. Since online voting is not eligible, participants can use other methods of physical voting such as explaining the awards and having guests to vote upon checking in or out.
Certain awards will be judged solely by the panel and others by a mix of judges and guest votes. This shows the importance of having continuous high-level guest satisfaction to gain positive support and votes which will increase the chances of being shortlisted and hopefully, winning the award.
