Panel judges are situated all over the country and will be allocated entries matching their areas of expertise. Participants will be judged against every criteria set in that category and be rated as “Poor”, “Average”, “Good”, “Very Good” or “Excellent” for each criteria.
Judges may also be allowed to make citations to justify their scoring and “mystery shoppers” may be used to conduct no-notice inspections for the duration of the scoring.
Upon the completion of judging all entries, the judges’ scores will be totaled to calculate a percentage score for each entry. The final percentage score will determine if the participant has won an OH Award with the honours of “Highly Recommended” or “Excellence” (the highest national award available).
The highest-scoring winner in each category will be given the regional award.
